      Open faculty positions in Neuroscience,
      Neurobiology @SKKU

      Sungkyunkwan University invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions
      at all ranks in the broad area of neurobiology. The successful candidate will expect to
      develop an outstanding neuroscience research program through expertise in
      integrating molecular and systems neuroscience. Furthermore, this faculty member
      will expect to develop a translational biomedical research program bridging basic
      neuroscience to clinical neuroscience. Those whose work scientifically addresses
      imminent issues of neurological/psychiatric disorders are especially encouraged to
      apply.

      Especially, successful candidates will expect to collaborate with existing faculties
      associated with the Institute of Basic Science (IBS) Center for Neuroscience Imaging
      Research (CNIR) (Center for Neuroscience Imaging Research, IBS) located at
      SKKU. IBS CNIR has an open research environment with first-rate core facilities,
      including animal and human MRIs, two-photon microscopes, a super high-resolution
      confocal microscope, a histology lab, and rodent and non-human primate animal
      housing.

      Duties

      The successful candidate is expected to maintain an internationally competitive
      neuroscience research program with extramural research funds, and to teach
      biological courses (e.g., molecular biology, cellular biology, neurobiology) at the
      undergraduate and graduate levels.

      Qualifications

      Candidates must have a Ph.D. in neuroscience, neurobiology, or a related field and
      productive postdoctoral research experience. The position is competitive with regard
      to salary, start-up funds, and laboratory space.
