AKN annual meeting 2015 - Meeting summary

Dear AKN members and sponsors,

It is our great honor and pleasure to tell you that we had another exciting and successful
AKN annual meeting in 2015!

Most of all, we would like to cordially thank all of you who attended
this year’s AKN annual meeting in Chicago. We hope it was a pleasant
experience for all. It certainly was a pleasure for us to meet many new
members and to see old friends and colleagues.

We greatly appreciate all our sponsors’ generous support, which was
essential to make this a successful meeting. We also extend my thanks to
all AKN officers and committee members whose superb efforts and personal
sacrifices significantly contributed to our meeting.

Once again, we would like to congratulate the winners of the 2015 AKN
outstanding research awards. We encourage unsuccessful applicants to
see past their disappointment and to apply again next year. We promise
that the AKN officers will do our best to award more winners in 2016
(hopefully with higher prizes!).

We would like to make several post meeting announcements.

First, we are so happy to announce that Professor Un Kang at Columbia
University will serve as Co-President of AKN (US-side) together with
Professor Uhtaek Oh at SNU (Korea-side). Also, Professor Yoon-Seong Kim
at University of Central Florida will serve as our new AKN Treasurer.
