Dear friends and colleagues,
This is the 2nd announcement for our 2018 AKN annual meeting.
On behalf of AKN officers and members, we are so much thankful to our sponsors who continue to support the AKN. Owing to the generous support from our sponsors, we are able to continuously host the exciting annual meeting in San Diego. As the result, we have the following exciting announcements.
First, we are currently accepting the application for AKN outstanding research awards (for pre-doctoral, postdoctoral, and junior faculty). The deadline has been extended. Now it is Oct 17 (Wed), so please apply! (see details in the 1st announcement for AKN Annual Meeting 2018 on our AKN website (http://www.akneuro.org).
Owing to sponsors’ very generous donations, we can continue to provide each pre- or postdoctoral awardee with a $400 prize and junior faculty awardee with $1,000. We hope many of you apply for this great opportunity.
Second, we made a reservation at Horton Grand Hotel (311 Island Avenue, San Diego, California 92101; http://www.hortongrand.com/) for seated dinner. It is just 0.4 miles from San Diego Convention Center.
Third, the pre-registration web page is available at: https://goo.gl/forms/Oacg1xl8LmVyV3W52. If you plan to join our AKN 2018 annual meeting, please go to the link above and preregister now! ‘Free’ seated dinner will be provided, however, seating is limited, and priority will be given to:
- Current AKN members.
- Those who pre-register.
- Those who arrive on or prior to 6:30pm
Forth, we will prepare great gifts for you and raffle them, as we did last year. We will have fancy gadgets (about 3 galaxy tablets) up for raffle. Outstanding research awardees will be excluded in this raffle. The raffle ticket will be provided only to those who show up at or before 6:30pm.
