Dear friends and colleagues,
This is Kwang-Soo Kim who is the AKN President.
On behalf of AKN officers, I am so happy that our fundraising was very successful due to our team efforts and very generous donations from many institutes and companies in Korea (Thank you!). As the result, I have the following exciting announcements.
First, we made a reservation at Omni San Diego Hotel for seated dinner in the main dining hall. To secure your seat, all you have to do is to go to the link and PREREGISTER NOW! It will take less than 1 min (I promise). We will collect $20 as a token of participation on site (although the dinner costs more than $70 per person). Meeting Details

Second, we are accepting the application for AKN outstanding research awards (for predoctoral, postdoctoral, and junior faculty). The deadline is coming very soon (Oct 20), so please apply now! Owing to very generous sponsors, we increased the award prize from $200 to $400 for each pre- or postdoctoral awardee. I hope many of you apply for this great opportunity. For details of submission, please see the attachment.
Third, during our AKN meeting, we will first attempt to be seated in a random manner and everyone will meet new friends in each table. This will greatly facilitate to meet new friends and have networks.
Finally, we will prepare great gifts for you and raffle them. There will be two Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 Tablet and three mini Android device that plugs into your TV or monitor's HDMI port to turn it into an Android computer. Outstanding research awardees will be excluded in this raffle.
So, I believe that we will have great meeting with lots of fun and great networking. Because we have limited seats, please go to the link above and preregister now!
I greatly look forward to meeting everyone of you in our AKN meeting!!!
Best, Kwang-Soo
