Message from the AKN President

Dear AKN members,

I would like to cordially thank all of you who were able to attend this year's AKN annual meeting in San Diego. I hope it was a pleasant experience for all. It certainly was a pleasure for me to meet many new members and to reconnect with old friends.

We greatly appreciate our sponsors' generous support, which greatly contributed to make this a successful meeting. I also extend my thanks to all AKN officers and committee members whose superb efforts and personal sacrifices significantly contributed to our meeting.

Once again, we would like to congratulate the winners of the 2013 AKN outstanding research awards. I encourage unsuccessful applicants to see past their disappointment and to apply again next year. I promise that the AKN officers and I will do our best to award more winners in 2014 (hopefully with higher prizes!).
