Dear AKN members and sponsors,

It is my great honor and pleasure to tell you that we had another exciting and successful AKN annual meeting in 2014!

Most of all, I would like to cordially thank all of you who attended this year’s AKN annual meeting inDC. I hope it was a pleasant experience for all. It certainly was a pleasure for me to meet many new members and to see old friends and colleagues.

We greatly appreciate all our sponsors’ generous support, which was essential to make this a successful meeting. I also extend my thanks to all AKN officers and committee members whose superb efforts and personal sacrifices significantly contributed to our meeting.

Once again, we would like to congratulate the winners of the 2014 AKN outstanding research awards. I encourage unsuccessful applicants to see past their disappointment and to apply again next year. I promise that the AKN officers and I will do our best to award more winners in 2015 (hopefully with higher prizes!).

I would like to make several post meeting announcements.

First, I am so happy to announce that Professor Uhtaek Oh at SNU will serve as Co-President of AKN (Korean-side) together with me (US-side). Also, Professor Daewoo Lee at Ohio Univ will serve as our Executive Secretary.
