Dear friends and colleagues,

This is the 2nd announcement for our 2015 AKN annual meeting, to be held at 6:30pm, Monday, October 19, 2015.

On behalf of AKN officers and members, we are so much thankful to our sponsors who continue to support the AKN annual meeting.  Owing to the generous support from our sponsors, we are happy that we will be able to continue our exciting annual meeting. As the result, I have the following exciting announcements.

First, we made a reservation at The Congress Plaza Hotel (http://www.congressplazahotel.com/) for seated dinner in the Gold Room. Transportation options include the following (see the map below):

• 1. Metra: McCormick Place -> Van Buren St. (use free ticket from SfN).
• 2. Red line: Cermak-Chinatown -> Harrison
• 3. Green line: Cermak-McCormick Place -> Adams/Wabash
• 4. SfN Shuttle B-line (Red): Get off at Hilton Chicago and walk north 1000 ft. on S. Michigan Ave.

Second, the pre-registration web page is: https://goo.gl/iEgbLU If you plan to join our AKN 2015 meeting, please go to the link above and preregister now! Seated dinner will be provided, however, seating is limited, and priority will be given to:

• Current AKN members.
• Those who pre-register.
• Those who arrive on or prior to 6:30pm

Third, we are currently accepting the application for AKN outstanding research awards (for predoctoral, postdoctoral, and junior faculty). The deadline is coming very soon (Oct 2), so please apply now! (see details in the 1st announcement for AKN Annual Meeting 2015 on our AKN website (http://www.akneuro.org).

Owing to very generous sponsors, we will continue to provide each pre- or postdoctoral awardee with the award prize $400 and junior faculty awardee with $1,000. We hope many of you apply for this great opportunity. For details of submission, please refer to our AKN website (http://www.akneuro.org).

Fourth, we will prepare great gifts for you and raffle them, as we did last year. We will have fancy gadgets (about 4 android tablets) up for raffle. Outstanding research awardees will be excluded in this raffle. The raffle ticket will be provided only to those who show up at or before 6:30pm.
