Applications are invited for a NIH-funded postdoc position in the laboratory of Dr. Park (http://www.buffalo.edu/hunter-james-kelly-research-institute/laboratories/Park-lab.html) at SUNY Buffalo. We are interested in the transcriptional regulatory network governing the development of oligodendrocytes for central nervous system myelination. Toward this goal, we identify and characterize transcription factors and enhancers (Bioinformatics 27(21):3024; Nature Methods 9(12):1134; PLoS Biology 11(8):e1001624; Nucleic Acids Res 45(9):5112; Scientific Reports 8(1):13075; Hum Mol Genet 28(21):3600). Further, we aim to elucidate how their dysfunction is linked to the pathogenesis of neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders. We combine sophisticated computational analysis, cutting-edge epigenome editing techniques, traditional molecular biology, and mouse genetics.

A PhD degree with strong background in molecular and cell biology is required, and experience in mouse handling is also desired, but not essential. This position is immediately available and comes with a competitive salary and full fringe benefits. This postdoc position is suitable for those who are interested in becoming a principal investigator in the future. We are highly supportive of the career development of qualified and motivated postdocs.

Please send the following information to yungkipa@buffalo.edu: 1) your CV with a publication list, 2) a brief statement of previous research experience, and 3) contact information for three references. Reference letters will be requested later if necessary.
