We are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral fellows to join Dr. Hoonkyo Suh’s laboratory in the Department of Neurosciences at the Cleveland Clinic.
The research goal is to understand hippocampal neurogenesis and neural circuits that underlie human mental behaviors and disease, with a hope that the outcomes of our research will lead to the development of new therapeutic approaches to prevent, treat, and cure neuropsychiatric (i.e. cognitive deficits, depression, and anxiety) and neurological (i.e. epilepsy and addiction) disorders. A successful candidate will dissect neuronal connectivity and function of hippocampal neural circuits in normal and disease rodent models in molecular, cellular, genetic, and neural circuitry levels.
The Suh lab is seeking highly independent and creative individuals with a Ph. D and/or MD degree, who are motivated to work in diverse and collaborative research environment. We will consider candidates from a broad range of backgrounds including (but not limited to) molecular and cellular biology and genetics, as well as behavioral and systems neuroscience.
Applicants should send a cover letter, CV, and complete contact information for three references to Dr. Hoonkyo Suh at suhh2@ccf.org
