5th AKN Annual Research Symposium 2024 at Baylor College of Medicine

We are thrilled to announce the 5th AKN Annual Research Symposium 2024, set to take place at
Baylor College of Medicine in collaboration with the Duncan Neurological Research Institute at Texas
Children’s Hospital. This event is a cornerstone in our ongoing efforts to bring together Korean
research groups from across the U.S., fostering significant discussions and collaborations in the field
of neuroscience. Specifically tailored for faculty members and senior postdocs/trainees, this
symposium aims to spotlight groundbreaking research achievements within the past 18 months. The
symposium will be highlighted by the Research Innovation Award and offer numerous opportunities
for networking with Principal Investigators and fellow scientists, both formally and informally. This
initiative is part of our broader vision, as we are also in the process of conceptualizing the AKN-Korea
KBRI Convergence Cluster Symposium. It promises to be a pivotal platform for both emerging and
established Korean neuroscientists to share recent research advancements and cultivate both
professional and personal relationships.

Symposium Venue:
The symposium will be hosted at the NRI building (1250 Moursund Street, Houston TX 77030),
located between Baylor College of Medicine and the MD Anderson Commons building. Security
personnel will facilitate entry and escort you to the 7th-floor auditorium for registration.
